In a game that almost resembled a home run derby than an actual six-inning contest, the Kentucky Russellville Little League defeated Indiana Columbus Little League 10-3 to advance to the Little League World Series.

The contest would end Indiana's hopes of making it to the Little League World Series, leaving the team just one game shy of reaching Williamsport.

"It's been a good run this year, we fell one game short, honestly bottom-line is that we got out played," said Coach Rick Burton.

The only positive for the Indiana team was the play of Josh Speidel, who went two for three with two home runs.

Though team Indiana fell short of ultimately making their goal, Coach Burton is proud of his 11 and 12 year olds.

"I told them we met our goals. We won the state, we got to come to Central Region to play on ESPN, these are a lot of things a lot of kids would love to dream about doing and they got a chance to do it."
