INDIANAPOLIS -
Having not lived in Indiana at all, but having covered the Big Ten in Illinois, rivalry football weekend to me concerned two teams and one piece of wood.
Indiana and Purdue's battle for the Old Oaken Bucket started in the mid-1920s and has garnered the most attention nationally because of the spotlight which the Big Ten commands, even if the two teams haven't always been up to par.
They'll meet in just under two weeks, and without a win by both next week, it will be for nothing but the "Bucket" since neither team would be postseason eligible.
But if its rivalries your into, than you might want to get your seat cushion ready a week early, because two hidden gems in Indiana sports are about to commence this weekend.
