Celebrating the opening of their 43rd season with a FREE block party and pregame concert, the Indiana Pacers battle the Miami Heat on Friday, October 30, in their 2009 home opener. Award-winning rock band Third Eye Blind highlights the festive pregame event, geared to help fans rock their way into Conseco Fieldhouse!
Pacers Opening Night is presented by Kroger and ACallToChange.org. Third Eye Blind jams at the Bud Lite Block Party where, for the second year-in-a-row, a performance by one of America's most popular rock bands will greet Pacers fans as they enter Conseco Fieldhouse. Known for its smash hit "Semi-Charmed Life" which won the Billboard Music Award for modern rock track of the year, Third Eye Blind opens the night's festivities with an hour-long concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. Fieldhouse doors open at 7 p.m., and tipoff is 8.

Activities surrounding the Bud Lite Block Party include a beer garden and the Pacers Fan Van.
The Fieldhouse's Pennsylvania Street Plaza is the central gathering point for the open-air Third Eye Blind concert. The show will be staged on Pennsylvania Street, between Georgia and Maryland Streets, which will be closed to traffic from 12:00 a.m. Friday through late Friday evening. The concert will be conducted rain or shine.
Immediately following the Third Eye Blind concert which accents the Pacers' slogan "This Game Rocks!," a Pacers skydiver will land at the corner of Georgia and Pennsylvania Streets to deliver the game ball and signify the start of the new season. Fans attending the game will receive a Pacers car flag courtesy of ACallToChange.org, while supplies last.

Fans will have the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind, "This Game Rocks!" Pacers autographed and customized Fender guitar. Participants may enter to win the authentic guitar at Pacers.com, or while attending the game or block party.
